The Autistic Brain: An Interview with Dr. Temple Grandin has won a prestigious 2014 Barbra Jordan Media Award! Read more in our blog post.
Project Summary
Golden Arm Media and The Coalition of Texans with Disabilities present an exclusive interview with Dr. Temple Grandin, an American doctor of animal science and professor at Colorado State University, bestselling author, autistic activist, consultant to the livestock industry on animal behavior and the subject of the 2010 HBO film Temple Grandin, which won multiple Emmys.
Combining Dr. Grandin’s interview with excerpts from her book tour speech that evening and materials from her past, we produced a compelling documentary that opened CTD’s 2013 Cinema Touching Disability film festival at the Alamo Drafthouse Village in Austin, TX on November 1st.
Dr. Grandin is an incredible person and an inspiration to millions. Her latest book, The Autistic Brain: Thinking Across the Spectrum, covers a wide range of topics around autism, including new groundbreaking scientific research, commentary on the state of autism diagnosis, and powerful insights for parents with children on the spectrum. The topics of her book are discussed throughout the interview, as well as insights into her past.
